Dear friends,
Well it has been an amazing few weeks filled with the blessings and glory of God! It has been a few weeks for an update; however, God has been moving in an incredible way. Our Harvest Festival rocked the house with close to 1500 in attendance and the trunk or treat was an amazing endeavor. The creativity of our church came out of the box and we were able to share the love of Jesus in this community. There were over 25 participants in this year’s Trunk or Treat and we all had a blast! My personal thanks goes out to all of the hard work that was put into this endeavor! I want to give you the results of the contest below. Each winner won an IPOD!

1st place - Giles Family

2nd Place - Harlow Family

3rd Place - Benz Family

This past Sunday, as we celebrated 7 years in existence, we had Pastor Panta Leon from Leon, Nicaragua speaking for us. The power and the presence of God was strong as he spoke on the power of the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us. At the end, our altars were filled as Pastor Panta Leon prayed for those suffering through some sort of physical illness. To God be the glory! Our prayers are with the folks of Nicaragua and we pray that God would continue to manifest His presence in the lives of these people. Our mission team currently has 26 people signed up to go to Nicaragua in July! To God be the glory, we are mobilizing people to reach others for Christ! What a blessing to have him speak in our platform for homecoming services.

Our homecoming celebration at 5 pm on Sunday was an amazing time. We had some incredible praise and worship by our team and then we had a good “grub” around the table getting to know each other much better. For many of you who were there, we launched a new “multi-site” initiative in which our church , in her efforts to reach the lost, will extend her influence to other smaller communities around Louisa County. Our first town of influence will be Gordonsville, VA located just 15 miles to the west of New Life Community Church. We have the unique opportunity to lease the premises of the old Gordonsville Christian Church located at 314 North Main Street, in the town of Gordonsville. In December, we will begin Sunday night services here and as the Lord leads, we will move to Sunday morning services. Please pray for the people of Gordonsville as we move into this area with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for Pastor John Nichols and his wife Wendy as they feel the Lord’s leading to administrate this new work. Please stay tuned for updates on how you can help this new mission work!
This Saturday, beginning at 3:00, we will have a Thanksgiving Outreach at Epworth Manor in Louisa. We will be providing these families with a Thanksgiving meal and fellowship. If you are willing to help, Cheryl asks us to be there at 2:30 and some are meeting at the church at 1 to pack up tables and chairs. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated!
On a regional level, The Point Church in Charlottesville, VA is up and running and we are ecstatic at what God is doing in this town. On their first launch service, over 190 people showed up to witness the moving of the Lord. This church continues to see new people in attendance each week and our prayers are going to heaven as they begin to reach this neighborhood with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Currently, they are meeting at Monticello High School at 10 am each Sunday Morning.

Well we hope you have a great Thanksgiving Holiday and we are thankful for all that God has done for us and through us over the past year. Please make plans to join us this Sunday at 8:30 or 11:00.
