Dear friends,

I want to leave this world boldly, don’t you?  I want to leave a lasting legacy that will far outlast my life here on earth.  In fact, I want a legacy that will last forever.  Well that is exactly what we discussed last Sunday morning.  I personally learned that God is still working on me and my character is build by 3 tools:  problems, pressure, and people.  Do you have any of these in your life?  Be of good cheer, because coming out of them, we will have a far better character than had we not.  This Sunday is our last Sunday for the “Thirty Days to Live Campaign” and we hope you will come on out as we recap and call for a lifestyle commitment.  Our prayer is that over the last few weeks, God has called you  to a higher sense of urgency and commitment.  What would your life look like if you knew you only had 30 days to live?  Take the challenge and we will see you on Sunday.

Well today, we had a team from New Life around the community helping some of the Epworth Manor residents get into their new apartments.  What a joy to be able to move furniture and belongings in the name of Jesus.  I want to thank all of those who came out to help as many of these residents had no one to help them move.  They are excited with their new place and our prayers are with them as they make this transition in their life.

Well there are some exciting things coming up at our church and the first begins tonight at 5:45.  Yes it’s that time of year again to begin preparing for our upcoming Christmas Drama.  This year, it will include many, many children and will be an amazing testimony to the power of Christmas.  Our preliminary meeting is tonight where we will actually review the drama and go over deadlines and needs.  If you or your kids are interested in participating, please be there tonight at 5:45.  In addition, tonight is our women’s Bible Study meeting  beginning at 7 pm, at New Life.  The study will be taking a look at Abigail in the Bible.  All of you ladies, will be out of the drama meeting in time to participate.  All of you guys, keep the kids tonight so that your wife can have a night off.

Ok this is preliminary but we want you to put October 31st on your calendar.  That's right, Halloween night, we will be having a Fall Harvest Festival at our church.  Trey and Kelli Singleton are planning one of the biggest events ever here at New Life Community Church.  Just to name a few of the activities:  Trunk or Treat Contest - we want you to bring the most creative design for a vehicle you can drum up!  Keeping in good taste and suitable for kids, we will find out just who has the most creative thinking.  You will want to come and compete for a prize for the best dressed car!  This Sunday, we will be collecting candy to distribute for this night so please bring your candy this Sunday and up until the date, bring candy.  J.R. Austin will be bringing a tractor-trailer load of round bails and we will have the biggest hay maze in the town of Louisa! Kids will be talking about this event all year.  We will also have the Liberty University (SBCV) Sports Trailer complete with cool games and a moon bounce of sorts!  OK now for the best part, Country (Charles Gittman) will be fixing up a batch of his famous stew in the big black kettle!  If you were there last year, you know what I am talking about-mmmmm, good!  All free of charge!   The party will start at 4 and go to whenever!

Well that's all for now and we hope to see you on Sunday at either of our two services (8:30 and 11:00) and also remember ASCEND Discipleship at 9:45.  You won't want to miss this amazing Sunday Adventure!
