Dear Friends,

I want to start by thanking all of our first time visitors for hanging out with us this weekend at our Sunday service. It was great having you visit New Life Community Church. This week, we concluded our series on Financial Freedom and my prayer was that many people were helped by the teachings by Pastor John and myself. The series really challenged me to think about my possessions and just how they are only temporary. I don’t want my possessions to possess me. I want my life to count for the glory of God!

This weekend, we will be preparing for our renewal services next week! I am going to be talking about the great revivals in history and how the Holy Spirit was sweeping the world! The great Wales revival in 1904 for some was the last time that God would pour out His spirit on the earth. Don’t get me wrong, the Holy Spirit indwells the life of every believer but there are times when God supernaturally moves and responds to hearts who are completely sold out to Him. I believe II Chronicles 7:14 when the Bible says, “if”. This “if” means that when we do some things, then God will do some things. If we seek God through humility and repentance, then he will heal our land and forgive our sin. Many think that we have now entered the age of apostasy and that the church must just endure now to the end. But for me, I believe it would be just like God and His mercy to do it just one more time. And that has been my prayer this week, “Lord just do it one more time!”.

As for next week, we have invited several local pastors to come and preach at our church beginning on Tuesday night, 7 pm nightly. Mind you, this is not the traditional way of doing things. Most of the time, there will be an evangelist come, render the message and then go home. But next week, we are going to hear from Louisa pastors who minister in this community. Local pastors are the shepherds of the flock who live in their community. Can you imagine the spiritual significance when local pastors come together for one cause? The enemy hates for local pastors to get along and come together. Would you pray for our pastors who will be coming each night? My friend Dave Hanson from Calvary Chapel, Louisa will be opening up on Tuesday night. Dave and I have been knowing each other for about 2 years now and God has just allowed us to minister to each other in wonderful ways. He has been a great friend. On Wednesday night, my great friend Larry Holt from Standing on the Promises Church in Louisa will be speaking. In addition, he will also be bringing his choir and band for music. Larry and I met for the first time when he invited me to speak at his church for a special occasion. His church treated us with such hospitality and encouragement! On Thursday night, my friend Bernie Newcomb from Central VA Assembly of God will be speaking to us. Bernie and I have known each other for some time and God has given us each a heart for the lost. On Friday night, my friend Billy Collins from Eure NC who is a local native of Louisa, will be speaking. Bro. Billy Collins shared the Lord with me almost 15 years ago and I surrendered to Jesus. He will be sharing with us the wonderful Word of God! Lastly, I will be speaking on Saturday night to wrap things up. But please understand that if God would have us to continue, then he will provide the resources to make this happen. I believe in my heart that we are creating an atmosphere for God to do something great among us. And when it happens, we will know it and be sure that God is with us. We hope that you will bring a friend and come on out next week for these meetings beginning nightly at 7 pm. I am including a flier that you can copy and paste for print out and hand out. There will be great music each night and we are praying for God to have the glory. Would you pray and commit to these meetings next week? Ask God to speak to your heart and begin showing you which nights you will come if not all of them. Maybe this is a good week for you to just clear your mind up and come out each night. God will speak to you if you come.
