Dear Friends,
I want to thank all of you who came out to “Voices From the Cross” this past Friday night. I want to thank all of the cast and crew for their dedication and hard work over the past two months. God has placed His hand upon you and let you on Friday night in presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ. As 7:00 approached, we found ourselves packing in over 600 people to witness the drama. I believe every single chair that we had was used up and God was with us in a powerful way. I had a great time playing the bailiff and really enjoyed working with the team to see this unfold. I hope you enjoy these pictures of what unfolded on Friday night. Thank you Trey, Kelli, and Jeff for your hard work and dedication.
On Saturday morning, our youth group went hiking up to Dark Hollow Falls carrying a cedar cross. We had over 20 some folks go and celebrate what Jesus had done for us. At the same time, the youth were challenged to nail their burdens and sins to the cross and leave them there! The hike was too much fun. I will attach some pictures of that next week.
In addition, Easter Sunday was filled with joy as Pastor John brought our sunrise service message. I believe there were over 185 people who showed up at 6:30 am to hear the Word of God. He spoke of the resurrection and our hearts were touched with the call to service. At the 9:30 celebration, we had nearly 450 people come to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! We also had the wooden cross used in the drama for folks to respond and nail their sins to the cross. So many times, we give Jesus our burdens but then we take them back. It is important NOT to allow the enemy to continue harassing you with vices that Jesus died for. Turn them lose! The choir was right on key and God used them to bring us to worship. These guys sounded awesome!

Well we hope to see you back this Sunday with our normal schedule. Early Service: 8:30, Ascend Discipleship: 9:45, and Afternoon Service: 11:00. Bring a friend with you and let’s rock the house.
I am including some previous announcements of upcoming items at NLCC. Please take some time to read them and let us know if you can help in any way.
On Saturday, May 2, our church will go over to Orange to celebrate the annual Walk for Life sponsored by The Pregnancy Centers of Central Virginia. The event will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church right on Main Street in Orange. A Continental Breakfast will be served at 8:30 with the Walk beginning at 9. Please make plans to come on out and Walk for Life. If you cannot make the event, please consider making a donation to this wonderful cause. This year, I have a personal goal of raising $1000.00 and I know in my heart that God will have no problem getting us there. Consider what your donation can do: $25 – Services for 1 Pregnancy Test Client, $40 – 24 Hour Helpline for 1 Month, $100.00 – Purchase Crib for a Newborn Baby, $150 – Ultrasound for 1 Client, $300 – Pregnancy Support for 1 throughout the Pregnancy. If you would consider helping me reach this goal, please respond to this email with your name, address, and how much you would be considering to help. The Pregnancy Center will bill you directly. I thank you in advance for helping me reach this goal.
