February 26, 2010
Dear friends,
It was good to be in fellowship on Sunday and getting to know some of you first time guests. I want to first start by saying “thank you” for spending your Sunday morning with us. We hope that your time was beneficial and enjoyable. This Sunday we will continue our study in I Corinthians 14 and then proceed to Chapter 15. In case you haven’t noticed, Chapter 15 is all about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We will be spending several weeks, leading up to Easter discussing this vital topic. What makes Christianity different from all other religions? The resurrection of Jesus is a vital fundamental ingredient of our faith. But what do you say to the skeptics who say, "I don't believe in the resurrection"? You won't want to miss this important topic beginning next Sunday. Please read below for all of the events that we have coming up and be sure to stay active in the things of God.
This past Wednesday, I had the wonderful privilege of spending a small group time with some middle school kids at youth group. This was a great encouragement to me as one student testified how "his desire was to see his friends come to Christ". How wonderful to see young people have a heart for evangelism. Parents, if your kids aren't participating in the Wednesday night gathering, I am convinced they are missing out on a wonderful opportunity. Bring them out next week at 6:30. There is always something for everyone. Look how much fun your teenagers could be having.

I am excited to announce another fellowship gathering with Standing on the Promises of God Church on Sunday, March 7th beginning at 3:00 pm. The church is located at 4046 Waldrop Church Road, Louisa, VA. Our praise team has been invited to come and worship the Lord with other brothers and sisters. Please make plans to come out and support our team as they minister all over Louisa County.
In addition, we want to let you know that on Sunday, March 14th, beginning at 9:45 am, we will be offering another membership class at New Life Community Church. This class will discuss who we are and what we believe. It will also give you a chance to learn how you can get more involved in the family at NLCC. We are always excited when new people come our way to learn more about the vision God has given us.
This Sunday night at our Gordonsville campus, we are pleased to have Jim and Joanna Faillace worshipping with us. They are coming to be a blessing to the believers there in Gordonsville. You won’t want to miss this exciting time. Please make plans to come out to our Gordonsville Campus this Sunday at 6 pm.
We have also invited Joanna Faillace to speak at our women’s luncheon on Saturday, March 6th. The seminar will go from 11 am to 4 pm. Ladies please make plans to attend this event.

They delight in opportunities to preach the Gospel and win souls to Christ and make their home in beautiful Central Virginia.
Tomorrow morning we will also have a men’s prayer breakfast beginning at 8 am. Please make plans to come out and attend this special event. There will be a devotion and some good food to eat. It will also be a time of prayer and direction.
I want you to know that all of our sermons on Sunday morning are now online as podcasts and you can save them to your computer or take them with you wherever you go. We are excited to be able to offer these resources all over the world. In addition, we are exploring the option of a yearly subscription of CDs sent to your home monthly. These CDs will come in a professional binder and will provide a much better audio quality than what you can obtain on the web. If you are interested in the CDs, just let me know and I will keep you informed on when they will be available. There is also an RSS feed to continually receive these messages every week. You won't want to miss what God is doing in our fellowship. Visit www.newlifeinlouisa.com to obtain these resources.

This evening we held our first informational meeting for the New Life Christian Preschool. We have several children that have already signed up for the 3 and 4 year old program! We are excited about what God will do through this program! I have attached the powerpoint presentation that was given and includes basic information on the preschool program.
*Please note that children participating in the 3 year old program must be 3 years old by the end of September 2010 and children participating in the 4 year old program must be 4 years old by the end of September 2010 (This is the same cut-off date used by the Louisa County Public schools).
Contact Melissa or Kelli with any questions about the program or if you wish to enroll your child. We will have a registration table for the preschool set up at the front of the church Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. A $40.00 non-refundable registration fee is required to enroll your child in the program (check made payable to New Life Community Church, “Preschool” written on memo line).
