Dear Friends,
We want to first start by welcoming all of our first time visitors to New Life last week. Thank you for spending your Sunday with us and we hope that your time was enjoyable in the Lord.
It is hard to believe that another week has almost come and gone. How quickly time seems to be passing us by! In fact, the Bible says in James 4:14,”For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” We pray you are allowing God to use you for things that will matter eternally. This past Sunday, we talked about how we will all stand before God and answer His question, “What did you do with what I gave you?” This can refer to time, our finances, our marriages, and even our kids. What a joy it will be to hear the words well done, thy good and faithful servant.
This past Sunday, I shared with the congregation my experiences in Nicaragua. How Blessed we are in America! I am praying how God wants to use New Life globally in this poverished country to share His Gospel. There are so many ways such as medical opportunities, building opportunities, and, my favorite, evangelistic opportunities that we as a church can share in to benefit these people. As we shared on Sunday, this country has nothing. Stay tuned for more information to come as we pray and explore the ways in which God wants to use us in Louisa to help in Nicaragua.
If you missed this past Sunday, you missed a blessing from our praise team. You could truly sense the Holy Spirit moving in the music. Please take time to share a kind word with our singers and musicians for the wonderful job they are doing leading us in worship to our King. All for the glory of God. We are truly looking forward to Easter in a few months. Jeff Benz, our worship leader, has already begun putting together a drama that will take place on Good Friday and conclude on Easter Sunday. From the glimpses we have already seen, this is going to be amazing!!! There is still plenty of time if you would like to participate in this event. Please see Jeff or his wife Erin for more information. You can email Jeff at jeffbenz@comcast.net.
On Sunday, we were excited to see Trey and Kelli Singleton come forward saying that they feel the Lord calling them into ministry. For the next year, they will be under a special watch care of the church. We as leaders will be mentoring and preparing them for this special calling. As members of New Life, please commit to praying for God’s leading in their lives. As Trey shared , they will be starting a new ministry called Crossroads for parents of school aged children during the Sunday School hour starting at 9:45.

Trey will be starting "CROSSROADS"
this Sunday, February 1 at 9:45 am. |

Trey's family: Kelli, Cameron, and Cole. |
Also, this past Sunday, we witnessed the dedication of little Melinda Staudinger to the Lord by her parents, Hank and Jenny Staudinger. This is one beautiful little girl! She even gave me a few smiles in front of the congregation. Her parents stood before everyone pledging to raise her in a Christian household and to teach her about the Lord.
As I close, I pray everyone will have a safe week and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday. As always, please check our out our website www.newlifeinlouisa.com for updated information in and around New Life.
